2010 PSA PJ Quarterly Competition

There continue to be two categories for the inexperienced (two stars or less) and the more experienced (more than two stars) groups. Each group will have a General PJ and a Themed PJ category. That means each person will have the opportunity to enter up to eight new mages. Also in 2010, again there will be no fee to participate. The Themed Category for February is Human Interest. A Definition for Human Interest is on page for February.

Best Images for 2009

DEFINITION OF AN ACCEPTABLE PJ IMAGE: Photojournalism entries shall consist of images or sequences of images with informative content and emotional impact, including human interest, documentary and spot news. The journalistic value of the image shall receive priority over pictorial quality. In the interest of credibility, images that misrepresent the truth and model or staged set-ups are not permitted. Techniques that add to, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. Techniques that enhance the presentation of the image, without changing the photojournalism content, are permitted. All adjustments must appear natural.

This activity is for images that have never been accepted in a recognized exhibition in order to help promote new work.
